Searching for car rental online has never been easier with the help of the internet. You can easily search and compare prices from various car rental suppliers, often on the same website.

Car rental rates often vary considerably depending on what is included in the rate. Look out for those too-good-to-be-true prices - they probably are. Airport Fees

Also known as a Premium Location Fee, you will be charged extra to pick up a rental car at an airport location. This charge varies depending on supplier and location, but in the UK for example could cost as much as 13% of the rental value.

This is a Government imposed levy for rental cars to partially recover the registration costs. Approximate cost in the UK: GBP1.22 per day, which over a long period can add up.

Additional Driver Fees

If you want to have more than one driver for your rental car, this is often an extra charge. Daily charges range from GBP4-20 in the UK, EUR4-8 in Italy and from USD3-10 in the States.

Young Driver Surcharge

This is often charged if the driver of the rental car is under the age of 25. In Australia, this ranges from AUD13-22 per day. In France, the Young Driver Surcharge varies from EUR20-35 per day, GBP10-25 in the UK and USD5-45 in the USA.

Excess Reduction

Each rental car often comes with an Insurance Excess which is the amount you would be responsible for if the rental vehicle is damaged. This can often be a few thousand dollars but can be reduced with an optional excess reduction charge which can be paid daily to reduce your excess to a few hundred dollars or even to zero.

Things like child seats, ski racks and snow chains are often available at an extra charge.

One Way Rentals

If you want to drop off your rental car in a different city from where you picked it up, there may be a one way fee. Again, this varies depending on the supplier and destination. Ensure you ask before you pay!

All these extras can add up. Sometimes a standard rate may be right for you but if you are picking up at the airport and want an extra driver, for example, it may make sense for you to go with an inclusive rate.

I should also mention that no engine lights have appeared.

Outsourcing suppliers face the strategic dilemma in Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) services, caused by the convergence of 'traditional' (multinational) and offshore suppliers' value propositions, a maturing remote infrastructure management delivery model, and adoption of labor arbitrage by traditional suppliers.

During the last decade, the emergence and rapid growth of new models of infrastructure services delivery, such as Remote Infrastructure Management (RIMO) and Information Management Services are showing signs of convergence with more traditional ways of delivering infrastructure service.

Offshore RIMO suppliers still hold a minor share of the IO market; nonetheless, there are increasing signs of the sophistication of RIMO leading to a growing convergence of the models of infrastructure delivery. The trend poses a challenge for buyers who need to understand the complexities of the offerings and suppliers who must refine their strategies.

The convergence of IO models is driving offshore suppliers to one of three choices:
- Continue to adopt key elements of the traditional infrastructure management  outsourcing model,
- Build added value to their remote offering or
- Simply continue to focus on classical RIMO services that rely on labor savings as a key driver.

On the other hand, traditional IO suppliers are confronted with a simpler, but not less challenging option:
- Focus on end-to-end infrastructure deals that avoid direct competition or develop variations of a converged RIMO/Traditional IO offering with an active role of labor arbitrage.

Evidence of convergence can be seen as offshore suppliers of remote management services are not limiting themselves anymore to targeting smaller companies with a basic labor arbitrage value proposition.

Large buyers (above US$10 billion in revenue) now account for 55 percent of the deals signed by offshore suppliers. Although the majority of offshore deals are still based on delivering remote services offshore, RIMO suppliers held 26 percent of more traditional deals in 2008 compared to only five percent in 2004.

The TR switch provides information to the PCM about the selected gear range of the transaxle. The TR switch identifies whether the transaxle is in PARK/NEUTRAL (P/N) or any of the five drive ranges (R/D4/D3/D2/D1). The TR switch is also used to illuminate the backup lamps when the transaxle is in REVERSE (R).

PCM INPUT
The PCM uses TR switch status for idle speed control, and also as a backup to the transaxle pressure switch. If the transaxle pressure switch is faulty, the PCM will select a transaxle gear based on TR switch status. A faulty TR switch should set a Diagnostic Trouble Code.

It looks like your controller is messed up. You could try to take it apart to see what is wrong but you have to be very careful as to not mess anything up. Two Poems About My Father by Peter Menkin

I wrote this poem after my father's death in 2000. Surprisingly, he was born on Christmas day and so I recall him when this time of year comes along. There are two poems here. The first tells of my visits to him and the last days of his life, though he struggled on to live beyond what I thought the best thing for him. I wanted a peacable death for him, with no special actions by doctors to keep him alive.

I did not prevail in my wishes and was over ruled by my family. He lived on a respirator for some days afterward, and that grieved me for I believed he suffered and was cheated of a quiet and peaceful passing. I am not bitter about this, since it was the overwhelming wish of my family. Nonetheless,

I was saddened and disappointed that they did not agree with what I saw as religious considerations towards a natural death.

The second poem is about his life and talks of his work as a writer for Television and Radio, which he practiced as his profession from the time he was 19 years old. He was a prolific writer with many credits to his resume. I sent this poem to the Writer's Guild, West, and also posted in some years ago on The Atlantic Monthly Writer's Workshop. The struggle began with a tear,a sign of spiritual gift.

Insight and the groaning inwardly as the

body knew before the implacable

crocodile part of the brain began

to take on the autonomic system.

Death was coming, being held back

with ancient gestures, as the Lord

Himself was present. Above the bed

a vision of the presence of an angel,

hiding the remembered as a story.

This entry to paradise, heaven the God,

the ever present and I am was with

awe approached as a cantor would the voice

listen for the very sounds of serene quiet.

The ever singing welcome and adoration of this

gracious position of the frail old man, waiting,

breathing, knowing, struggling, and wanting.

The wanting to be with the light, to turn

towards the goodnesses, the kindnesses,

the welcome of the warmth in the majestic

and the ark of the covenant held mighty in the birth

of the Messiah, King who gave all for an acceptance

into the Church, and the people. Hold up your hands

like magic moments in prayer, the Saints themselves

sang with this man alone with company on the bed.

Not yet ninety and in a quiet peace of dreams so

bountifully remembranced like an old word about

riding behind cars on a set of skates, and being

in the 20s when Mother was alive, and asking for

his wife who is dead, but here. This is entry

of the living waiting for the words to say goodnight,

you were a good man many times. That is good enough.

I was/am your friend. I came to say "I am sorry.

I will miss you."

We sent many to say we forgive you, a prayer

that we confess for you: a Deacon (morally),

a Chaplain (walked nearby), a prayer book (read

with tender genuine call), a Nun (to see if all

is well), a Priest at a distance to be with you, a

discussion with a Reverend Doctor, a Spiritual

taste of the body and blood, incarnation,and the coming of

grief--yours more than ours for you hold

on despite the presence of angels, a comfort.

Surprise there is a hidden Saint watching,

there is the treasure that bids you

come heavenward,called to paradise and rest sublime to rise.

Is it Benedict? What friend is this waiting.

What You Need To Know About VHF Marine Radios

Without a doubt, VHF marine radios are one of the most essential pieces of safety equipment to be found on a boat. No boat should leave the shore without having at least one on board, as in the event of an emergency VHF marine radios are often the only way of getting in touch with the people who can rescue you. Therefore, although recreational boats less than 65.6 feet in length are not required by law to have VHF marine radios onboard, they definitely should anyway.

Additionally, the Telecommunications Act of 1996 allows recreational boaters to own and use VHF marine radios without having an FCC ship station license, which means that there is no paperwork, classes or any other hassles involved in purchasing and learning to use VHF marine radios. If your boat is big enough to be required to have VHF marine radios onboard or if you plan on taking your vessel into foreign waters, you are required to have a Radiotelephone Operator Permit. To get one, you only have to pay a one time fee. Once you pay the fee and fill out the form, you will have the permit for life, and there are no tests or exams that you are required to pass to get it.

You should turn your VHF marine radios on to channel 16 (156.8 MHz) and monitor it when it is not in use. By doing so, you will hear all of the important marine broadcasts that are sent to VHF marine radios, such as storm warnings and other urgent matters that the Coast Guard may want to alert you to. Recent history is filled with horror stories of boat captains not having their VHF marine radios turned on properly, resulting in many casualties over the years. Additionally, VHF marine radios can help those operating boats from running into each other, causing major wrecks.

Once you have VHF marine radios aboard, there are several different channels that you should know about. For example, channels 16 and 9 are only used for calling other vessels (also known as hailing). If you have trouble remembering which channels you should use in specific instances, write them all down and post them somewhere that everyone can see. In the event of an emergency, you do not want to lose your life because somebody was using the wrong channel on the VHF marine radios.

Why does my monitor and alarm clock freak out when I get a call on my cell phone?

Whenever I send or receive a text, or get a phone call on my cell phone, the computer monitor gets kinda wavy and my radio alarm clock makes weird ticking noises... why? Is this bad?

When all is said and done, a phone is just a bunch of radios - usually at least four or five of them (three bands or more, bluetooth, and sometimes others, as well as wi-fi frequencies). Radios operate using radio frequencies, just like your clock radio; your monitor is also sensitive to them, and that's completely normal. When the phone goes active, it starts sending radio signals as well as receiving them (for instance, to let the person calling know that the phone is ringing, it sends signals to the tower it's "talking" to), and your other items are responding to those frequencies. That's because they each have an antenna of some kind - your clock radio has one built in; your monitor's cable that attaches it to your computer functions as an antenna as well, even though it wasn't really intended to do so.

The first answerer has no idea what she's talking about. The radio frequencies are at such low power, they won't hurt a thing. They CERTAINLY won't harm you or devices intended to deal with them in the first place.

If it really bugs you, get a filter to put on your computer screen's input cord; what you want is called a "band pass" filter, that will filter out all frequencies EXCEPT the ones that your screen works on. It's only annoying, however; it won't actually harm your screen. You can also switch to a flat-panel screen and avoid the problem completely, since they work differently from the big old CRT-type monitors.

Onboard Video Graphics Bypass?

I have a Biostar Nvidia GeForce 7050 (GF7050V-M7 SE)
with an onboard video card and i cant bypass it.. i looked at the bios and i set it to load the PCI-Express slot before loading the onboard its Fusterating cause i have a nvidia 8600 gt comming in the mail and i need to figure this out.. i even plugged in the card and uninstalled onboard graphics drivers.

I'm confused as to if you actually have the new PCI-Express card with you, or if it's coming in the mail. Anyways, if you've already plugged in the new card and it doesn't automatically detect it, try resetting your bios settings by removing the CMOS battery, waiting 5 minutes, and putting it back in.

Hi all I can tell you about is my experience of my Samsung 205bw's. I have two of these on my PC and they are absolutely stunning. They have DVI and VGA. Fantastic brightness and response time. Height adjustable and are just brilliant.

I bought mine via Amazon in the UK. One had a dead pixel but I just sent it back as faulty and got a new one by return.
