The All New 2010 Audi A5 Lease - May Be One Of The Best Rides This Year

2010 Audi A5 Overview

Introduction

Perfectly elegant and aggressive all at once, the A5 is Audi's two-door, four-seat luxury sports coupe. For 2010, an equally stunning Cabriolet model joins the A5 lineup, offering the additional pleasure of open-air cruising.

The A5 is available in four configurations: 2.0T quattro Coupe, 3.2 quattro Coupe, 2.0T quattro Cabriolet and 2.0T FrontTrak Cabriolet. All 2.0T models are powered by a new 211-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the 3.2 quattro Coupe gets a 265-hp 3.2-liter V6 engine; both feature FSI direct fuel injection. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic with Tiptronic and available paddle shifters, and a Multitronic CVT. The 2.0T trims are equipped with a standard Premium package that includes a power sunroof (Coupe only), 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and an auxiliary input jack. A Premium Plus package is standard on the 3.2 trim and available on the 2.0T, adding Xenon Plus headlights, LED tail lamps, heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, universal garage door opener, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and an Audi Music Interface with iPod integration. Standard safety features include six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability and traction control systems, active anti-whiplash front head restraints and a tire pressure monitor. Popular options include an S line Sport Package, Bang & Olufsen audio system, voice-activated navigation and adaptive cruise control with active braking guard.

For 2010, the Audi A5 carries over with minor adjustments to standard and optional equipment. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder joins the engine lineup, and a new Cabriolet body style is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations. Safety enhancements include a new Driver Assist package with Audi Side Assist blind spot monitor and a rear backup camera.

Vehicle Highlights

The 2010 Audi A5 lineup gains a new convertible body style and a 4-cylinder base engine. In pricing and size, this sporty 2-door slots between Audi's compact A4 and midsize A6. The A5 and S5 Cabriolet models have a power soft top and join the A5 and S5 coupe. The new-for-2010 A5 2.0T comes in both body styles. It has a turbocharged 211-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. The 2.0T Cabriolet is available with front-wheel drive or Audi's quattro all-wheel drive. The 2.0T coupe is available with AWD only. The mid-line A5 3.2 comes as an AWD coupe only and has a 265-hp 3.2-liter V6. The high-performance S5 models are also AWD only. The Cabriolet has a supercharged 333-hp 3.0-liter V6, while the S5 coupe retains its 354-hp 4.2-liter V8 engine. Transmission availability is as follows. The front-drive 2.0T Cabriolet has a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The AWD 2.0T, 3.2, and S5 coupe offer a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 7-speed automatic is standard on the S5 Cabriolet. A 6-speed manual is available on 2.0T and S5 coupes. The manual-transmission 3.2 has been discontinued. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, an antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Options include a navigation system and an uprated audio system. Audi Drive Select, which includes upgraded power steering and an adaptive suspension, is also optional.

 COMPETITION

Consumer Guide Automotive places each vehicle into one of 18 classes based on size, price, and market position. Offering more power and style than typical Sporty/Performance vehicles, Premium Sporty/Performance Cars usually cost much more and have more comfort and convenience equipment. Two-passenger convertibles and four-seat coupes rule the roost in this class.

Our Best Buys are the Audi A5 and Chevrolet Corvette. Our Recommended pick is the Jaguar XK Series.

New or significantly redesigned models include the Audi A5 (convertible)

08 Ford F-150 (F150) V8, 4x4, quad cab, 60th Annv.Ed, for $24K New?

I'm looking at getting a new 08 Ford F150, quad cab, 5.4L V8, 4X4, loaded, 60th Anniversary Edition, which has extra cosmetic stuff, rear-backup warning system, 20" wheels, etc etc. List price is $38K, dealership looking to dump it on me for $24K.

Other than the fact is gets 14mpg and it costs $120 to fill up the 30 gallon tank, why is this a bad deal?

BTW, yeah, I am a Chevy fan, but I'm not taking that into account. The same chevy truck with similar options will cost me $3K more.
Thanks for the reply HanS. But my uncle, who has been a die hard GM guy for 40 years even told me that the Ford-Chevy debate is pretty much even nowadays. I dunno, maybe I'll get a Tundra...

For the options you've listed and the price its a no brainer...Pick up the ford, its got great TWC, a good engine, good warranty, and easy to maintain. All Chev and Ford BS aside, Ford makes a great truck, which is why it has been the best selling pu for many years in a row. silverado is overpriced and misoptioned for levels anyway, good luck with the new truck.
