Din is the regular size of a aftermarket radio. Most kits are designed for DIN radio's. Almost all radio's made are DIN size. 1 DIN is the standard DIN specification. 2 DIN (or double DIN) refers to units that are twice as high as the standard DIN; half DIN is half high as 1 DIN.
DIN is a standard size for car audio head units,defined by the International standard ISO 7736 .It (or Deutsche Industrial Normale) is a series of uniformity standards developed in Germany, which apply to commonly manufactured item. The reason is for the price on A/V equipment is reasonable and the website will ask for your vehicle information and tell you what will fit without having to trim anything. they also include wireing harnesses and dash kit adapters. I have bought over 20 recievers from them without any problems. There are more than just the two sizes in sterteos other than din or double-din. Has anyone used a scosche stereo dash install kit before? If so how does it work? Does the kit just give u the pocket? Is that all you need in order to install a new stereo? I have a 1998 nissan sentra and it is double DIN. The stereo i bought is DIN and im very confused as to what the install kit does. IF all it does is provide me with a pocket, did i really need to buy it?

It either gives you a pocket or a cover. Its a lot better than having a hole in your dash

Chrysler is a big multi national company. It has many divisions under it for producing various types of cars. Under that Dodge division manufactures Dodge Caliber in the year 2006. It falls in compact segment range. This car replaced the Dodge neon. It follows PM platform and has layout of both front engine and 4 wheel drive. The body style is hatch back of 5 doors. The assembling operations happen in USA in Illinois. The transmissions are manual of both 5 speeds and 6 speed. This model is closely related to Mitsubishi Lancer, jeep compass, Mitsubishi Outlander and jeep patriot. Its length and width are 1.75 meters and 4.71 meters respectively. How often does Pioneer update their in-dash car navigation AVIC receivers?

I'm looking at Pioneer's AVIC-F700BT and F90BT receivers (also the AVH-P3100DVD), but I'm wondering if the AVIC F-series will have a new model come out soon. I googled this, but I couldn't find an answer. Does anyone know when their next models will be coming out? I don't want to buy one of these models just to find out a new one is coming out in a month. Thank you in advance!

New units by major car audio manufacturers are being released within the next month or two. Pioneer has rights to both future AVIC units, but as far as a release date goes, you're looking at roughly another year. Major retailers don't have an out of stock date on the AVIC units until 2010.
