LCD Tv: Television Viewing Simply Changed With LCD
Liquid Crystal Display Televisions generally known as LCD TVs are in general terms the televisions that use LCD technology for visual output. TFT, the technology used in these televisions allows in depth reduction, weight reduction, low weight and reduced energy consumption. The prime stage LCD televisions had various negative aspects comparing with the traditional visual display technologies. In the earlier models of LCD, the fast-moving action was displayed with "ghosting" and the viewing was possible from one angle because light emitted focused directly ahead. But the later stage developments have solved these problems making LCD TVs along with Plasma display becoming more popular world wide.
In the early 2000s, LCD flat screens succeeded in grabbing a large part of the television market. The technical advancements enabled this type of TV to compete against Plasma flat panels and rear-projection televisions and HDTVs. In the beginning stage, it was considered that LCD technology was suitable only for small sized flat-panel televisions and will never be able to compete with plasma technology. But the later stages showed that these TVs are capable of offering the same performance.
The electronic giants around the globe including Samsung, Sony, LG, Philips and Sharp are now involved in manufacturing of LCD TVs. The big groups have announced the plans to invest billions of dollars in LCD production over the next few years, targeting the vast growing television market. The growth in LCD technology has resulted in bringing down the weight, prize and low consumption of electricity making things easier or the users. It has resulted in tightening the competition between the LCD TVs against the Plasma TVs. The TVs based on PVA and S-PVA LCD panels are capable of delivering a broad viewing angle, up to 178 degrees. The TV also delivers an adequate contrast ratio for bright viewing scenes.

it's a decent TV. all of the smaller TV's are difficult to compare because the info going into the TV isn't stretched out like in a larger TV. if you can buy an extended service plan do it because of the built in DVD player.
